Hello, and welcome to DecorusCosplay!
"Decorus" is a latin word which means "beautiful", "graceful", "charming".
As you might already found out, here we showcase the most beautiful cosplay outfits and photos around the world. Everyone is free to watch us, but we'll be giving special attention to upcoming "join requests" since this group is for the highest quality cosplayers. Not every photo needs to be a masterpiece to be accepted in the group. Though, in order to keep it organized, there are some rules our members should follow:

:bulletblue: We wish to display the best, so bear in mind that everything from Make-up/Wig, Costume detail, Character portraying, Photography skill and Photoshop/Photo quality counts or any of the admins have the right to reject your photo.

:bulletblue: As it's obvious, every photo needs to have good quality. It's always a disappointment when we see an amazing costume with a blurred or grainy photo.

:bulletblue: You need to be either the photographer or the cosplayer in order to submit your work.

:bulletblue: When sending pictures, please keep in mind that we might decline those who only show their owner's face. (Meaning no myspace angles/camwhore are allowed.) After all, we are looking forward to see great outifts in equally great photography.Same goes to make-up test.

:bulletblue: Please try to submit ONLY your best photos.

:bulletblue: You can photoshop your pictures all you want, but please do not add any speech balloons and things of the sort. You can always add a thin frame with a "neutral" color around the picture and a small cosplayer/photographer copiright tag, but please do not write any big phrases with weird fonts or brushes. That way, your deviation will be declined.

:bulletblue: Submit only three photos per outfit.

:bulletblue: Photos containing nudity (not too graphic) are allowed but should have the "Mature Content" tab on them.

:bulletblue: Submit into the correct folders.

:bulletblue: Convention photos are not allowed. It's a disappointment when we see a great costume with a bunch of people on the background. Of course, if the photo and costume in question are REALLY, REALLY good, then we'll open an exception. Preview photos are also not allowed.

:bulletblue: Stage photos can be excuse to a certain extent when the performers are not blurred, there is not stage equipment shown in the photo [e.g speakers, event banners, lights, microphone stand etc.] and lastly, if there's a screen, please show us a full screen and the content of the screen must match the performance [e.g, scenery, narration] or else the photo may have a high chance of being rejected.

:bulletblue: Your costume doesn't need to be made by yourself in order to be in the group. If it's good, then we'll accept it.

:bulletblue: The "Movies and Books" folder only applies to movies/books made "from scratch". Those that were firstly made and thought to be movies/books. For example, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is in fact, a movie, but since it was firstly made as a game, deviations containing characters from said movie will go to the "VideoGames" folder.

Note: As the group gets bigger, we have been getting even more strict then before, So if one of your photos is "declined", don't think we're putting you on the side and don't feel bad about it. Instead, take it as an encouragement and keep on practicing! : )
Good day, everyone : )

Thankfully, we were able get some new contributors into DecorusCosplay, so we're hoping to bring the group back to life in a pinch!

We stated we were in need of at least 3 new members in the moderating team, but we managed to add a total of 5.

We greatly appreciate the help all of the applicators offered, however, we could only accept a few. Please note that it was also given priority to the ones who applicated for the position first.

With that being said, let's all give a warm welcome to our brand new contributors!

They are:

:bulletblue: Rei-Suzuki
:bulletorange: simakai
:bulletblue: TypeZeroFilm
:bulletorange: AuthenticEm
:bulletblue: Avrasil

We honestly hope you enjoy to be part of our team! : )

Hello! I'm sorry for taking your time, but I've submited a picture and it expired, and I'm not sure if that means it was declined? This is the picture in question. I'm not complaining or anything of the sort, I'm really just wondering if it was denied or something happened and you didn't receive any submission request? Once again I apologize for taking your time, and thank you so much!

When a picture expires it doesn't mean it was declined. Actually, must of the contributors haven't been online lately and that's why many deviations expire. Please, re-submit your photos when it happens!

Hello (Ou olá, visto que somos as duas portuguesas xD)! When a picture expires, it doesn't mean it has been declined. Unfortunately, since we're currently short on active contributors to have pictures voted, a lot of great submited ones end up expiring after some time. You can always try to submit that photo once more and I'll do everything possible to get our contributors to vote. If it ends up being declined, please note that the acceptance of a picture into the group does not depend on just one moderator.

We're sorry for the inconvenience and we hope you don't give up on the group x.x

Hi! I have a question. If I submitted a picture and it expired, does that mean it's been 'declined'? This is the picture in question: [link] I've submitted it twice with it ending up expired both times.

I'm not complaining, I just want to know if I should take this to mean it's not up to par for this group (I fully understand this is a highly selective group that wants to showcase only the best), or if I should re-submit.

Thank you for your time! :)

Weird... Though I believe you should resubmit this one.
Hey guys! You have a wonderful gallery going on here, but since I've read about a lot of difficulty submitting photo's in here, I'm not sure if I'd have a shot. Therefore I'm quietly suggesting [link] and then some, so if anybody has some time to spare, please let me know if anything's worthy, haha. Thanks in advance! :)
